High School in Israel
Do you believe it is important for a Jewish teenager to develop a meaningful connection to the state of Israel? Are you concerned with the growing spiritual detachment that many youngsters feel, even as they go through years of yeshivah day school education? Do you believe that every adolescent should develop a natural love for Torah by the time they go to college?
Then consider Yeladim Netivot’s High School in Israel program. High School in Israel provides a unique opportunity for modern Orthodox 10th graders to come to Israel for a spiritually uplifting, emotionally charged two-to-four month period, and to experience the Holy Land firsthand by living with Israeli peers and attending B’nei Akiva yeshivot and ulpanot.
For years, High School in Israel has instilled in students a natural love for Am Yisrael, Eretz Yisrael, v’Torat Yisrael via a stimulating program that includes:
- Classes with some of the best and most inspiring Jewish educators
- Tanach Tiyulim, where students follow the paths of the Avot using Tanachs as their guidebooks
- A week-long yeshivah/midrasha experience
- An endurance-building Gadna course
- Hebrew ulpan
- Volunteering and helping those in need
- A rigorous general studies education
High School in Israel provides a life-changing experience that cannot possibly be achieved by just reading a high school textbook. Principals, teachers, and parents are increasingly impressed with students who have come back with a renewed strength in commitment to Torah, an unprecedented passion for their Homeland, and a newfound sense of maturity and independence. Such students have, in turn, had a tremendously positive impact upon the environment of their schools, homes and communities.
Please consider the following two options:
- Send a few of your 10th grade students to join this year’s spring group. This eight-week program starts April 26, 2009, and spans some of the most exciting moments to be in Israel -- Yom Haatzmaut, Yom Yerushalayim and Shavuot!
- Create your own group trip for the next school year (2009-2010). Choose a two-to-four month period that is ideal for your students to experience Israel.
In addition, Dani Yemini, the program director, will be in the United States in February, and would be happy to meet with you in person and tell you more about the unforgettable experience that High School in Israel has to offer.
We look forward to being in touch with you!
